Martha's Vineyard Ferry: a killer in waiting
Ferries are the quintessential "gateway method of transportation:" innocent precursors to the bridge. I've been tracking this ferry for many years and can say, without equivocation, that its intentions are clear. Unless pre-emptive action is taken, we will soon see the last of this beautiful island getaway for the already suffering New England elite.

Proving-- once again-- her unflagging devotion to protecting the unprotected, Sarah Palin decided in September of 2007 to cancel the
Bridge To Nowhere. We can only speculate what state our nation would be in today were it not for such bold leaders as Palin.

Florida Keys, in memoriam
May 24, 1982 marks the date of one of the worst island massacres in history, with the opening of the Seven Mile Bridge to the Florida Keys. We remember with fondness those peaceful enclaves. May they rest in peace.
